ADAP- Advance Development Academy Program Overview

"The Crossover to Travel Soccer"

  • What We Teach: The ADAP program utilizes the FC Dulles Curriculum to focus on building individual technical skills including passing & receiving, 1v1 moves, shooting & finishing, speed, agility, & coordination through age-appropriate small-sided games in a fun, learning environment. The objective of the ADAP is to prepare players for the next level: FC Dulles’s Academy Travel Program

  • Why ADAP? ADAP is for the advanced player seeking a higher level of training and competition more than recreation soccer can provide. An ADAP player loves the game of soccer and is passionate and committed to learning and improving to become a better player.

  • ADAP Training & Game Schedule- Fall (Sept. (week following Labor day) thru early Nov.); Spring (late March/early April-early June). Training 1 hr. sessions, 2x/week (typicially M/F from 6-7 PM). Competition- 1 game/weekend (late-Saturday afternoon 4pm or 5pm) in-house, and when possible, competition with neighboring clubs. The club may also choose to play in an end-of-the-season festival (xtra cost of approx. $40/player/festival) typically in mid-Nov. and mid-June.

Players are encouraged to participate in FC Dulles' Winter Indoor Futsal weeknight training and weekend League competition- not included in tuition. The expected Winter fee is $200- Training: $75; League: $125.

  • Our Coaches: ADAP coaches are members of FC Dulles’s technical staff led by Club Technical Director, J. Marcelo Gangotena. ADAP coaches are experienced in implementing FC Dulles’s curriculum and possess current USSF coaching licenses, are Safe Sport certiified, and have passed criminal background checks. Coaches are selected for the ADAP based on their ability to teach, the ability to nurture advanced players, and their ability to instill a love and passion for the game of soccer.

  • Evaluations: ADAP coaches conduct evaluations to identify ADAP players in June (and throughout the summer) for the following seasonal year starting in the Fall. Supplemental evaluations are conducted for the Spring season. Please see the schedule for upcoming evaluations.
  • Tuition: $295/season (We will only charge a $25 deposit to hold a spot on the roster and will only charge the remaining balance once we know for sure that a Fall season will be played)
